Mass is not just attending

Mark as read

You can be present and still offer nothing.

The Mass is the sacrifice of Christ made present. That is why you do not live it merely as someone watching a ceremony from the outside, but by uniting yourself to him: praising, thanking, asking for forgiveness, and offering your own life. When you bring your work, tiredness, joys, and struggles to the altar, the Mass ceases to be an intermission. It becomes the center that gathers the week. This is better understood by looking at Christ and the life of the Church. It is not an isolated idea, but part of a path: God draws near, offers his help, and calls you to respond with freedom, humility, and constancy.

Key idea

The Mass is lived better when you unite yourself inwardly to Christ's self-offering.

Your challenge for this idea

At the next Mass, offer a concrete difficulty together with Christ.
