Loving as Christ loves

Christ does not love by using, manipulating, or seeking only to receive. He loves by giving himself, forgiving, and truly wanting the good of the other. Christian dating learns from that love. It does not turn the other into an object of desire or company, but into someone to care for and help reach heaven. A healthy relationship does not eliminate effort. It teaches going out of oneself without losing dignity, accompanying without controlling, and speaking without humiliating.
