Living in your bubble shrinks you

It is comfortable to move among people who think the same: everyone nods, no one contradicts you, and you feel safe and in the right. The problem is what is lost along the way. When no one challenges you, your ideas stop being refined; you get used to your answers without ever putting them to the test. That comfort comes at a price: you lose depth. Convictions that never rub up against others become slogans you repeat, not things you have truly thought through. And along the way, you begin to see the outsider as an enemy, rather than someone to learn from. Leaving the bubble is not betraying what you believe; it makes it stronger. Listening to a different voice, reading someone who disagrees with you, broadens you. What is safe shrinks; what challenges you grows.
