The invisible enemy: constant distraction
Distraction does not seem serious, but it weakens your inner depth.
You jump from one thing to another, reply to messages, look at a screen, start something and leave it behind. At the end of the day you have made a lot of movement, but gained little depth.
Living well requires learning to be right where you are. At work, in study, in prayer, or with a person in front of you, attention is a form of respect.
Living by jumping from stimulus to stimulus does not only reduce your performance. It also makes it difficult to listen, read slowly, and be truly present before a person or before God.
Key idea
Constant distraction robs you of depth and genuine presence.
Your challenge for this idea
