It may change what you can do, but not what you can live for.
Alexandrina, Marthe Robin, and Therese Neumann saw how illness shut down projects that seemed deeply important.
They lost mobility, health, and concrete plans. Nevertheless, their life was not left without direction, nor did it cease to be fruitful.
When the body sets boundaries, it is easy to think that your vocation has also come to an end. But a call from God does not depend on performing as before. It can change shape: accompanying, offering, listening, praying, or sustaining from a hidden place. There is no need to idealize pain to recognize this. Illness is hard, but it has no authority to declare a life useless or erase its capacity to love.
