How to live with purpose

Seeking purpose does not mean waiting for a spectacular revelation about your future. Often it begins with a much simpler question: what good can you serve today with the concrete life right before you. Purpose becomes real in daily duties, relationships, and decisions. Working honestly, caring for your family, praying, learning, and brightening someone's day may seem ordinary, but that is where steady direction is built. From a Christian perspective, your life is not a project closed in upon yourself. You are called to love God and others in the middle of the world. That does not remove doubts, but it keeps everything from depending on your emotional state. A true purpose steps down from ideas onto the calendar.
