Hell takes freedom seriously
God does not play with your decisions.
Speaking about hell is uncomfortable, but it recalls something serious: human freedom can close itself off from God. Love is not imposed like a machine; it can be freely rejected.
The Church does not speak of this to cause despair, but to awaken responsibility. Precisely because God wants to save us, he takes us seriously and calls us to return while there is still a way open.
The key is not to use doubt as an excuse to remain still. A question well lived can bring one closer to God if it is asked with humility, if it seeks truth, and if it is ready to change something when it finds light.
