Gratuity changes the atmosphere
Doing something without demanding applause cleanses the heart.
Not every good act needs a reward, a photo, or recognition. Some gestures have value precisely because they are free: helping, tidying up, listening, yielding, praying for someone, doing a hidden task.
Gratuity breaks a tiresome logic: I give if I get, I serve if seen, I care only when convenient. When you do good without sending a bill, the atmosphere breathes differently. God sees what is hidden. And that is enough, far more than it seems.
Key idea
Gratuity makes love freer.
