A grade cannot govern your whole mood
Exams matter, but they are not large enough to occupy your entire horizon.
During exam season, grades can easily turn into the absolute center of your day. If you study well, you feel worthy; if something goes wrong, your entire day and your self-image collapse with the result. A certain amount of stress is entirely normal when something truly matters.
The problem arises when you can no longer pray, rest, pay attention to anyone, or remember why you are studying. A grade has shifted from being information about a test to passing judgment on your entire life. Putting it in its proper place does not mean studying less. It means working seriously, accepting the outcome, and keeping other goods open: relationships, health, service, and an identity that no academic panel can grade.
Key idea
A grade evaluates specific performance; it cannot define your personal worth or consume your entire life.
Your challenge for this idea
During your study today, take a brief break to care for a good that grades do not measure: prayer, rest, or someone close to you.
