A good conversation leaves an imprint
Not every valuable dialogue ends with a conclusion; some keep working inside you for days.
There are conversations that produce data and others that broaden your perspective. When these finish, you remember a phrase, discover a new question, or understand in a new way something you thought was settled.
That imprint needs attention. If you switch immediately to another screen, you can lose the intuition before formulating it. Going back over what was discussed helps distinguish what is true from the enthusiasm of the moment.
It also shows that conversing is not consuming words. It means allowing another's experience to enter and transform something. You can give thanks later, write down an idea, or revisit the topic. A relationship grows when what was shared does not vanish as soon as the coffee ends.
Key idea
Deep conversations continue to bear fruit when they are remembered, reflected upon, and revisited.
Your challenge for this idea
After an important conversation, write down a phrase that shifted your perspective and share it with the person who said it.
