Going to confession is returning

Confession is not a cold courtroom. It is the sacrament Christ left to forgive sins and give grace to struggle better afterward. Telling the truth is hard, but a lie weighs much more. When someone confesses with simple repentance, they are not only forgiven: they breathe again like a child who has returned home. This is understood better by looking at Christ and the life of the Church. It is not an isolated idea, but part of a path: God draws near, offers his help, and calls you to respond with freedom, humility, and constancy.
