God does not remain silent

Sometimes you can live faith as if everything depended on your effort to find God. But Christian faith begins with something prior: God takes the initiative. God does not remain distant or indifferent. He makes himself known, calls, accompanies, and seeks humanity in real, concrete history. The Christian response does not begin by fabricating an image of God, but by listening to what he has revealed of himself in creation, in history, and above all, in Christ.
