Giving what costs

Mark as read

Generosity begins where something of your own is truly given away.

Being generous is not just giving what is left over. There is generosity when you seek the good of another through real sacrifice: time, comfort, attention, money, or rest. That giving widens the heart. It should not be done to collect favors, but it usually improves the atmosphere because sincere love awakens love. In relationships, small details carry more weight than it seems. A tone of voice, an omission, an apology, or an act of service can build up or wear down greatly. That is why this idea must be brought into concrete treatment, not left as good intention.
