Friendship with Christ is built
It does not appear on its own: it takes time.
You can know many things about Jesus and yet have little to do with him. Friendship begins when you stop speaking only about him and learn to speak with him: with trust, listening, and frequent presence.
Christ does not remain far from your normal life. He worked, prayed, suffered, had friends, and wept. You can find him in the Gospel, in the Eucharist, in prayer, and also in the people and duties that fill your day.
There is no need to begin with huge resolutions. It is better to open a faithful and concrete space. A living friendship is built by returning: when you feel like it and when you do not, when all goes well and when you need to ask forgiveness and start over.
Key idea
Without time, there is no deep friendship with Christ.
Your challenge for this idea
Spend 10 minutes today being with him. Without rushing and without filling the silence right away.
