Relationships

Friendship also needs to be expressed

Feeling affection is not enough if you never show it.

Sometimes you take for granted that your friends know you love them. But unexpressed affection can end up looking like indifference. Friendship is nourished by words, gestures, and presence. A sincere compliment, an expression of gratitude, or a small thoughtful gesture can greatly strengthen a relationship. Affection is not always self-evident. Saying thank you, congratulating, asking, or acknowledging something good helps friendship avoid staying a silent esteem that the other person never notices.
