Freedom according to Christianity
Being free is not doing anything you please, but being able to choose the good.
Always doing whatever you feel like may seem like freedom, but often ends in internal slavery. Impulses can also take command over you.
Christian freedom does not narrow life down. It orders life toward what truly fosters growth: loving better, choosing better, and living with greater truth.
Freedom is not measured only by the number of available options. It expands when you recognize the good and have inner strength to choose it even when hard.
Key idea
True freedom is being able to choose what is good.
Your challenge for this idea
Give up something today that you feel like doing but that leaves you disordered. Choose something better.
