Five minutes can change everything

André Frossard entered a chapel without seeking any spiritual answer. He was an atheist, he was distracted, and he only wanted to find a friend. Five minutes later, his way of seeing life had completely changed. Not all conversions follow a long, orderly process. Sometimes God takes advantage of a crack you did not even know you had left open. You do not have to manufacture an emotion or pretend you already believe. What you can do is avoid shutting the door prematurely. Going in, staying silent, looking with honesty, and letting reality surprise you is also a form of seeking.
