Even the last minute counts

Some people think it's too late: that they've wasted too many years, done too much harm, that their life can't be fixed anymore. And some people pray for someone who is dying far from God and feel there's nothing left to do. Faith says otherwise. For the thief crucified next to Jesus, it was enough to recognize the truth and ask: "Remember me." He had no time to make amends for anything, and it was enough. No one should leave everything until the end: we don't know when it will come. But as long as there's life, there's a way back. God doesn't measure the time that's left, but the heart that turns toward him.
