The Eucharist as a real encounter

In the Eucharist, Christ does not remain a nice idea or a memory from the past. He becomes truly present and gives himself to you. That is why the Mass and the tabernacle are not accessories in Christian life. They are places of real encounter with the Friend who stays. Christian life is not sustained solely by ideas. In the sacraments, Christ goes out to meet the concrete person and nourishes a relationship that needs real presence.
