Faith

Drifting along today pulls you away

Mark as read

In the past you had to make a decision to leave faith; today it is enough to decide nothing at all.

There were times when the social climate pushed you to believe almost unintentionally. Now it is the opposite: the underlying current pushes toward indifference. If you simply drift along, little by little faith fades on its own, without a dramatic farewell, merely through inertia. That is why believing today demands something more active than before: choosing it, caring for it, nourishing it. Not like someone clinging to a routine, but like someone who resolves not to let what matters slip through their fingers. You do not need to swim against everything. It is enough to realize where the current is taking you and make your own decision, instead of just floating.

Key idea

In this environment, faith that is not cared for fades away simply by drifting along.

Your challenge for this idea

Choose a small, deliberate act of faith today: a prayer, a reading, a moment of silence. Something you would not do out of inertia.
