Questions

Does the soul exist if the brain fails?

Mark as read

When something in the body fails, it does not erase what is deepest in a person.

The brain has a strong influence on how we think, feel, and express what we live. But the existence of bodily limitations does not eliminate the spiritual dimension of man. Understanding the truth, choosing freely, and loving are not simply reduced to matter. We are a unity of body and soul. That is why an illness does not take away dignity or turn a person into less of a person. This question needs calm, not a slogan. Many doubts are understood better when you separate things: what faith says, what reason can see, what comes from personal experience, and what perhaps arises from a wound or a prejudice.

Key idea

Bodily fragility does not eliminate the spiritual dignity of man.
