Does science explain God?

Mark as read

Science measures a lot, but it does not measure everything.

Science studies with tremendous value how material realities operate. But God is not a piece of the universe that can be weighed, isolated, or put into a laboratory. Asking science to exhaust the question of God means using a tool outside its proper field. Human reason is broader: it also asks about meaning, origin, the good, and truth. The key is not to use doubt as an excuse to stand still. A question lived well can draw you closer to God if it is asked with humility, if it genuinely seeks the truth, and if it is ready to change something when it finds light.

Key idea

Science does not eliminate the ultimate questions of reason.
