Does providence eliminate problems?

Believing in providence does not mean thinking that if you pray well, all obstacles will vanish. There are pains no one would choose and questions that take time to find an answer. Christian faith does not need to pretend that this is easy. Providence changes the way you go through hardship. God can give light to make a decision, strength to endure, people who accompany you, and a depth you did not know before. Sometimes he removes the problem; other times he transforms you while you live through it. It is also wise to ask for human help. Trusting in God does not replace talking, seeing a professional when necessary, or letting yourself be cared for. Christian hope does not deny the wound: it prevents the wound from having the final word.
