Do not run off right after communion
You have just received God. It is not the time to bolt.
We receive Communion and, often, two minutes later we are already thinking about parking or checking the phone on the way to the exit. But you have just received Christ himself. Those minutes afterward are a small treasure we often waste.
Nothing complicated is needed. Staying a moment in silence, thanking him, telling him about your day, praying for your loved ones. Treating him like the friend who stayed with you. It is a detail of affection, and one that goes deep.
Try not running off. Give him a few minutes of sincere attention after Communion. Over time, those quiet moments become some of the best parts of your week.
Key idea
The minutes after Communion are an encounter well worth not wasting.
Your challenge for this idea
The next time you receive Communion, stay at least two minutes in silence thanking him, without rushing to leave.
