You do not need to resemble another saint

Sometimes you admire someone else's quality so much that you end up treating your personality as a problem. You would like to have the eloquence of one person, the calm of another, or the energy of someone who seems to reach everything. Without realizing it, you turn maturity into external imitation. Christ is the model, but resembling him does not mean adopting a single temperament. Peter, John, and so many saints were profoundly different. Grace did not erase their personal accents; it cleansed them of selfishness and placed them at the service of love. You can learn from others without despising what you have received. Your task is to discover which trait needs to grow, which must be moderated, and what gift you are hiding out of comparison. Holiness has a common root and unrepeatable faces.
