Discipline

Do not live at full speed

Constant hurry runs over what matters most.

Going fast may be necessary sometimes, but living always in a rush comes with a price. You stop listening, eat without tasting, answer curtly, and walk right over concrete people. Hurry can also be an escape: if you do not stop, you do not have to look at what happens inside or what God is asking in your day. Slowing down the pace is not wasting time. Sometimes it is recovering it to live with more attention and charity.
