Questions

Do not get used to injustice

What repeats often does not cease to be grave.

From seeing abuse, mockery, exploitation, or poverty repeatedly, one can stop reacting. Injustice becomes scenery and the heart learns to protect itself by not looking. Yet indifference also shapes character. If you never ache over the evil others suffer, something inside gradually dies out. Christian justice begins by not putting conscience to sleep. Later will come the possible step: defending, helping, reporting, praying, repairing, or not collaborating.
