Do not decide with unresolved doubt

Sometimes we do something without being sure, with that small voice saying "I don't know if this is right," and we push ahead anyway. It is not a good idea. With a serious doubt about whether something is right, the prudent thing is not to jump in, but to resolve the doubt first. Resolving doubt is simple, even if it takes some effort: think calmly, get informed, ask someone of sound judgment, pray about it. It is not about freezing over everything, but about not acting blindly in what matters. Deciding with unresolved doubt usually ends in regret or excuses. Clearing it up beforehand spares you both and leaves you at peace with what you do.
