Disarm your words

There are words that win arguments and lose people.

You do not need to shout to hurt someone. Sometimes a label, an irony, a cruel phrase, or a way of speaking that turns the other into an enemy is enough. Disarming your language is not becoming soft in the face of lies. It is learning to speak the truth without crushing others. Firmness and charity can walk together, even if it is hard. If you want to build peace, start with your words. What comes out of your mouth usually reveals what is ruling inside.

Key idea

Peace also begins in how you speak.

Your challenge for this idea

Eliminate a hurtful word you tend to use today and replace it with a fairer way of saying the same thing.
