Disarm your heart

Sometimes your harshness is only defending a fear.

There are armors that look like strength: coldness, sarcasm, aggressiveness, indifference. They protect for a while, but they also prevent love from entering and leaving. Disarming your heart does not mean becoming naive or letting anyone harm you. It means recognizing what fear you are covering up and letting God touch it. Peace begins within. When you lower the useless defense a little, you can treat others with more truth and less attack.

Key idea

Aggressiveness is often cured by looking at the fear it hides.

Your challenge for this idea

Ask in prayer today which armor you use most: irony, coldness, pride, or distance.
