Dignity is not earned
Your worth does not rise when you are applauded, nor fall when you make a mistake.
Your dignity does not depend on how well things turn out for you, on your appearance, or on what others think of you. It is worth more than all of that. It has to do with something deeper: you are a person, God has created you, loves you, and calls you to live with Him.
When this is forgotten, you end up looking for your worth in very fragile places: in a result, in a glance, in approval. And that is exhausting. In contrast, when you remember it, you can improve, ask for forgiveness, and begin again without beating yourself up inside.
This does not stay as a nice phrase. It shows in how you treat yourself when you fail, how you look at others, and what things you allow to determine your mood. Living from dignity is also learning to rest, speak, and start over without turning every mistake into a sentence.
