The cross changes when you carry it with Christ

Mark as read

Suffering does not become good by itself, but it can stop being a place without company or direction.

Faced with a difficulty as a Christian, you might think you have to call it a blessing immediately. That sometimes denies the harm, the grief, or the need to seek a way out. Carrying the cross with Christ begins by presenting it without makeup. You ask what help you need, what evil you must combat, and what inevitable part you can go through united to Him. Not all suffering is accepted in the same way. The company of Christ does not guarantee constant emotional relief. It offers a relationship within pain and the possibility of transforming it into patience, intercession, or closeness to others. The cross still weighs, but it does not define the journey alone. It can be carried towards the resurrection, not worshipped as if pain were the destination.

Key idea

Union with Christ allows you to face suffering with truth, seeking to eliminate possible evil and giving meaning to what is inevitable.

Your challenge for this idea

Divide a current cross into three parts: what you can change, the help you must ask for, and what today you can only offer and endure.
