Complying like an employee is not living as a child

The older brother says: "All these years I have served you." He speaks like an employee presenting his track record, not like a son who knows that everything belonging to the father is also his. His compliance has lost the relationship. The life of faith can become like this: you pray, comply, and help, but on the inside you expect an emotional wage. When a difficulty arrives or someone receives mercy, you feel that God did not respect the tally. Living as a child does not eliminate effort. It changes its root. You do not work to buy a place in the house, but because you already belong and want to collaborate with the Father. Obedience stops being an invoice and becomes a response again.
