The Church has its own calendar

The Church's year does not follow the school term or commercial advertising campaigns. It has its own seasons: Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Ordinary Time. Each year you walk through Christ's entire life: he is awaited, born, dies, rises, and sends his Spirit. This is not liturgical decoration: it is a pathway designed so faith never flattens out. The world also has its calendar, and it is emotional: sales, returning to work, counting down to holidays. If you do not choose your rhythm, it is chosen for you. Living the liturgical year means letting the steps of Christ, rather than shop windows, mark your seasons. It does not ask for much: know which season you are in and live it with some small detail. You can tell: the year stops being a hamster wheel and starts becoming a journey.
