You cannot share a Gospel that no longer amazes you

Familiarity allows you to know the Gospel and also to pass right over it. You anticipate every scene, quickly look for an application for others, and no longer allow the text to surprise you. Apostolate needs to receive again before explaining. Reading slowly, imagining a gesture of Christ, and recognizing what changes today renews the experience of a living good, not just a mastered content. Wonder does not equal constant emotion nor does it require artificial novelties. It is readiness to discover depth in the familiar. From there, witness recovers humility: you share something that still surpasses and nourishes you. Whoever is touched anew by the news can communicate it without turning it into propaganda or a repeated lesson.
