Can an invented religion be true?

True religion cannot depend only on what suits me. If God exists, the decisive question is not which religion feels comfortable to me, but how he has made himself known. Inventing a personal religion may seem free, but it leaves one's own taste as the ultimate judge of everything. Seeking truth requires looking at the reality of God, of man, and of revelation. It does not help to close this question with a quick phrase. If it arises, it can be a good opportunity to form one's faith better, ask for advice, and think with more calm. The Church does not fear honest questions; what impoverishes is refusing to search in earnest.
