The Bible is not a science manual

Many people discard the Bible because they believe it aims to explain how the universe formed or narrate history with the precision of a chronicler. That is not its intention. The truth it teaches is of another order: who you are, where you come from, and where you are going. That is why it uses stories, images, and symbols, even telling creation twice with different details. It is not an oversight: it is not measuring; it is teaching something deeper than a piece of data. Understanding this avoids two errors: pitting it against science as if they were competing, and also reading it literally as if it were journalism. Each tells the truth in its own way.
